I have an itch.
Our gut feeling is usually right: if you feel that your current work is exhausted (in terms of challenges/responsibilities) and that your contribution is not being recognised, that’s probably a symptom that too much time has already passed, and you should shift your attention to expanding your own network and opportunities. An MBA (or any training) is 50% about hard skills and 50% about building a support network and broadening your possibilities.
If your current company is large and you know many people (on your team, direct peers, or management), others are likely feeling/ thinking the same way you are. It’s a good idea to establish strong connections with these individuals, as some of them may also have high aspirations, and you can collaborate with them to expand your network.
